Late afternoon 26th Jan 2024 of 46 children (mainly from Bewbush Primary Academy) and adults scrambled on to a coach to join GLCT on a trip to London.
It was pantomime time!
Thanks to PricewaterhouseCoopers kind invitation once again to their annual pantomime production the GLCT group headed for the Peacock Theatre, Holborn to enjoy ‘Beauty & the Beast’.
Many of the group had never visited London before or had never even been to a pantomime.
Such excitement as the coach wove through the heavy traffic slow enough for passengers to see some of the sights until eventually we were in the theatre!
“We loved all the musical numbers and some girls were planning their lives on stage”
“The TikTok references and dance moves were all a huge hit. The lighting and disco ball effect went down a storm as did the pyrotechnics”
“Thank you so much for bringing us to the pantomime. We thoroughly enjoyed it all”
On the way home knowing the group were keen to spot London landmarks the driver slowed down crossing Waterloo Bridge and kindly paused for a few moments for the group to photograph the London Eye.
“London Eye is sooo much bigger in real life!”
Tired passengers arrived back in Crawley at midnight, but the green snappers kept them warm as they struggled home in the frosty air.
“Thanks again for organising the pantomime trip. The children had a fabulous time and they love the green snappers.”
And thank you PwC from everyone in GLCT once again for inviting us to one of your best shows!!
