Connect with the Countryside Day

Connect with the Countryside Day

Held annually at the South of England Showground, Ardingly for Year 5 & 6 pupils, 2500 pupils from local schools spent the day enjoying “interactive opportunities to learn about food, farming, the countryside and the environment.”

There’s always so much to see and do, as children from Brantridge School found when they were guests of the GLCT on 13th July 2017. Escorted by GLCT and a friend from RSA (who helped as part of the company’s CSR policy) it was a day full of interest and fun. So many chances to see and do things for the first time:

Meeting the Jacob’s Sheep …

Visiting the Llamas & Donkeys, and learning about Bats!…

As well as sessions to practice fly fishing techniques and learning about how to spin…

All finished with a game of frisbee…
