In contrast to the weather for the previous venue, GLCT visits to Hickstead Showground were a lot cooler and quite damp!
In June children with staff or families from Grove Park, Crowborough; Manor Green College, Ifield; Milton Mount, Pound Hill; New Barn School, Broadbridge Heath; Woodlands Meed, Burgess Hill were able to enjoy watching the Al Shira’aa Hickstead Derby competition on certain days.
Other GLCT ‘guests’ in July enjoyed certain days at the Longine Royal International competition.
As well as watching the horses in the main arena, or any of the smaller ones there was the fairground to see; ice cream to sample as well as other treats – always so much to see and do on a visit to Hickstead … you never quite know what’s round the corner!
